Data & insights
The Centre for Work Health and Safety will combine state-of-the-art analytical methods with innovative thinking. This will inform work health and safety strategy using the most reliable data-based insights, to support better-informed decisions.
The Centre has access to an important collection of data about work health and safety events, people, industry, labour, health, environment and government.
As the Centre grows, it will establish the information infrastructure necessary to enable future policy making to be grounded in data and statistics. One of our key milestones will be the development of an adequate analytical tool to forecast potential WHS hazards. This will help us to identify the risk factors for diseases and injuries in the workplace, and to better target at-risk workers.
